Argentina's love for steakhouse dining dates way back and, given the fact people in Hong Kong enjoy steak cuisine, Buenos Aires Polo Club revives this tradition and presents diners with a trip back in time to a lost era.
The dining experience begins on the seventh floor of LKF Tower, as visitors enter the restaurant, a host welcomes them in. Guests then reach a cosy first room where the centrepiece is the luxurious brass-topped bar placed behind heavy wooden doors. A cocktail is then readily served made by Head Bartender Luca Sergi and his team.
Inspired by Argentinian affluence, the main dining room utilises dark wooden interiors with a deluxe leather banquette seating. The finely selected walls match the interior and are topped off with oil paintings and equestrian accents originated from Buenos Aires' San Telmo Antiques Market.
Chef Felipe Lopez's menu contains a broad selection of custom-made parilla grill with dishes of Provoletta to signature beef cuts from Argentina's premier open range cattle station, General Pico. The superior Black Angus herd live on natural grasslands and are grass fed as well making their meat lean and more mineral tasting than grain fed cows.
"We travelled to Argentina to source the best grass-fed beef the country has to offer, and it's only available at Buenos Aires Polo Club in Hong Kong. Its rich flavour is unparalleled, and only intensifies on the parilla grill," says Black Sheep Restaurants co-founder Christopher Mark.
To further fulfill the dining experience at Buenos Aires Polo Club, there is a delicate selection of desserts to pick from such as Ananá la Plancha or classic Don Pedro elevated with house made black walnut soft serve. Last but not least, guests can complete their meal with a wine from the exclusive wine cellar which features an extensive collection of unusual genuine Argentinian wine.
