Amit Aurora
Partner, group DCA New Delhi 
Amit Aurora studied architecture at the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. Three years after he graduated in 1993, he founded group DCA with architect Rahul Bansal. The firm was envisioned as a multi-disciplinary integrated architecture and interior design solutions firm and has since completed award-winning projects across diverse typologies such as residential, retail, hospitality and workspaces. Aurora's expertise lies in designing for longevity and functionality: he makes a conscious effort to use local materials and technology that reinforce traditional crafts, while minimising impact on the environment. Aurora has been recognised as one of the 10 most sought-after workplace design professionals in India (Commercial Design, 2016).

Bruce Wright
Vice President & Principal, SB ArchitectsSan Francisco
Bruce Wright has more than 20 years' experience in the design and implementation of complex, developments involving a broad spectrum of building types. He specialises in the architectural planning and design of large-scale multi-building projects in both urban and destination environments integrating hospitality, mixed-use, residential and entertainment.
Wright is best known for his deep commitment to achieving high-quality design outcomes through a comprehensive multi-disciplinary approach, carefully integrating brand, planning, architecture, interior design, landscape, engineering and related disciplines. Through an approach that emphasises dialogue, transparency and enquiry, he leads teams in the creation of designs that support the dynamic framework of a community.

David Leventhal
Founding Partner, PLP ArchitectureLondon
Prior to leaving to found PLP Architecture, David Leventhal was partner-in-charge of design at KPF's London office, which he co-founded in 1989. David worked with KPF for a total of 30 years. He is renowned for being at the forefront of innovative architectural design, while being a leading voice in the debate about the direction of modern architecture in the city today. A key theme in David's work is the place of contemporary architecture in historical cities. This interest stems from his undergraduate studies in architectural history at Harvard, during which time he studied the challenges faced by late 19th-century American designers in finding novel yet relevant architectural expression. In line with this interest, David, while at KPF, was the partner-in charge of design of a series of academic buildings set in the heart of the great English universities, including projects at Oxford University, the London School of Economics and Imperial College. Again while at KPF, David was partner-in-charge of design of the new Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) headquarters, a landmark which has become a symbol to the world of this fast-developing city.

Iwan Sunito
Co-founder & CEO, Crown GroupAustralia
Iwan Sunito is Co-founder, Chairman and Group CEO of Crown Group, one of Australia's most prolific property development companies with a multi-billion portfolio of residential projects alongside an expanding retail and hotel pipeline. Sunito graduated with a BA (Hons) and Master of Construction Management from UNSW and was given the UNSW Eric Daniels Award for excellence in residential design in 1992. He became a Registered Architect in NSW in 1993, and was named Urban Taskforce Australia's 2015 Property Person of the Year. As an industry expert, Sunito has been interviewed by Bloomberg Indonesia, CNN Indonesia and Sky News, as well as all major television networks in Australia including the ABC.

John McAslan CBE
Executive Chairman & Founder, John McAslan + PartnersLondon
Established in 1996, John McAslan + Partners is a leading international award-winning architectural and design practice based in London, with offices in Edinburgh and Doha. McAslan is Executive Chairman of the practice and is active in all of its work. It has received in excess of 150 design awards, including 25 RIBA national and international awards, three Europa Nostra Awards and The Queen's Award for Enterprise (International Trade). The practice is currently leading the refurbishment of The Burrell Collection in Glasgow, and has recently been appointed as architect of the £75m National Collections Facility for the National Galleries of Scotland in Granton, Edinburgh. In 2012 John McAslan was appointed Commander of the British Empire by Her Majesty the Queen.

Rocco Yim
Principal, Rocco Design ArchitectsHong Kong 
Rocco Yim was born and educated in Hong Kong, and is Principal of Rocco Design Architects. Since winning a First Prize Award for the L'Opéra de la Bastille international competition in 1983, Yim's works have consistently been awarded both in Hong Kong and overseas. Recent accolades include ARCASIA Gold Medals in 1994 & 2003, World Architecture Festival category winner in 2010, Chicago Athenaeum Architectural Awards in 2006, 2011 and 2013, ULI Global Award in 2014, and German Design Council Iconic Awards in 2014 & 2016. His works have been published in various regional and global journals, and have been exhibited four times in the Venice Biennale over the last decade.

Yim is currently Honorary Professor at CUHK in the Faculty of Social Science, Honorary Professor at HKU Department of Architecture, Adjunct Professor at HKU SPACE, Museum Adviser to LCSD and a member of the IAF Council of International Advisors for the University of Southern California.





Bill Bensley
Founder, Bensley Design StudiosBangkok
Gardener, fisherman, architect, interior designer, wide-ranging explorer, landscape architect, lover of all things natural, Bill Bensley was hatched in Orange County in 1959, California – when orange trees grew there. The Harvard graduate was invited to work in Asia by classmate Lek Bunnag: "I had a burning desire for adventure, so I left the day after graduation," he says. Bensley worked in Hong Kong and Singapore, and in 1989 opened shop in Bangkok. By 1990 he met his long-term guiding light Jirachai, and started BENSLEY's Bali branch. With his team of more than 150 talented individuals, Bensley has designed more than 200 resorts, hotels and palaces in over 30 countries. Despite their success, Bill still believes that BENSLEY's best work might appear when he grows up.

Clint Nagata
Founder & Co-CEO, BLINK Design GroupBangkok
Clint Nagata is Founder and Co-CEO of BLINK Design Group. Based in Bangkok, Clint has spent more than two decades at design's cutting edge, developing his knowledge and insight into the hospitality business, while winning critical acclaim for his distinctive designs. His rigorous approach, combined with the collective expertise of the BLINK team, has led to unique hotel spaces characterised by subtle personal touches and a harmony between form and function that highlights the spirit of each place. A Gold Key finalist in 2013 and 2014, his projects have also been recognised by various industry accolades including Asia Pacific Property Awards and Hospitality Design Awards. 

Jon Kastl
Partner, ChampalimaudNew York 
Jon Kastl, LEED AP, Partner at Champalimaud has more than 20 years' experience in hospitality, residential and restaurant design, as well as well as a resume populated by some of the world's most exclusive hotel properties. Kastl has an ability to transform a grand, complex design vision to a reality at a five-star level, giving thorough consideration to what luxury hotels need from interior design as well as an operational standpoint. His successful completion of the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles, which received several hospitality and international design awards, is one of his proudest accomplishments. Kastl received his BSc in Design from the College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning at the University of Cincinnati.

Katharine Pooley
Director & Founder, Katharine Pooley LtdLondon
Founded in 2004, Katharine Pooley Ltd has become one of the world's most renowned international interior design studios. The company has offices and boutiques in London and Doha with more than 45 staff members. The Katharine Pooley brand has created designs around the world. Projects outside the UK have included private homes in Moscow, luxury chalets in Italy, properties in France, Monaco and Mumbai, as well as a large apartment in the centre of Singapore and a hotel and clubhouse in China.
Alongside her successful design studio, Katherine Pooley has a standalone boutique in South Kensington, London, showcasing a range of curated accessories sourced from all over the globe. Pooley has also been the recipient of many industry awards and is consistently featured in the Andrew Martin Top 100 international interior designers. In 2017, and in partnership with Assouline, Katharine released Journey by Design. The book explores the creative processes and diverse inspirations behind 19 of her projects.

Nick Leith-Smith
Principal, Nick Leith-Smith Architecture + DesignLondon
London-based architect and interior designer Nick Leith-Smith grew up in Hong Kong, trained at the Mackintosh School of Architecture (Glasgow) and the Architectural Association School of Architecture (London) and began his career working for Rem Koolhaus at OMA. He now divides his time between projects around the globe – exposure to diverse cultures and identities strongly influences his work. Nick Leith-Smith Architecture + Design was founded in 2000. The studio's portfolio encompasses luxury retail design, high-end residential and hospitality work, working alongside internationally recognised brands, including the Design Museum, Grainger Plc, Grosvenor, Harvey Nichols and Liberty and enjoys an established relationship with Manolo Blahnik. Throughout its long-standing collaboration with the brand, the studio has designed stores in more than 35 locations worldwide.
Leith-Smith studio's work is consistently recognised in awards in the UK and internationally; past accolades include the WIN award (Spun Candy Boutique, London) Restaurant Bar & Design Award (Le Peep Boutique), IDA Design Awards (Manolo Blahnik, Malaysia) and Design Week award (Manolo Blahnik, Malaysia).





Mario Trimarchi
Mario TrimarchiMilan
Mario Trimarchi was born in Sicily. In the 1980s he moved to Milan, where he still lives and works. In the early 1990s, he was the director of the Master in Design course at the Domus Academy and later headed the DDA, a joint venture between the Domus Academy and Mitsubishi, alternating between long business trips to Japan with conferences, lectures and workshops in various countries throughout the world. In 1999 he founded Fragile, a corporate identity studio, where he continued his personal research on design.
His objects are centred on the relationship between unstable geometries and sculpture and are almost always accompanied by drawings and illustrated stories. He designs for Alessi, creating unexpected products, including baskets and trays such as La Stanza dello Scirocco [which won Good Design 2010]. In 2014, he designed the Ossidiana coffee maker, winning the prestigious XXIV ADI Gold Compass Award and the Red Dot Award.

Russell Greenberg
Founder, RUX Design, Co-founder, Stickbulb, New York
Russell Greenberg is the Creative Director of RUX and Stickbulb. His designs range from an award-winning mosque masterplan to water-purification systems, porcelain busts, vending machines, furniture and sustainable LED lighting systems. Greenberg founded RUX in 2008 as a platform to support his diverse interests and foster a collaborative design culture. Over the following nine years he led the studio in developing new products and intellectual property for the likes of Unilever, Samsung, Mozilla Firefox and Pernod Ricard, as well as for start-ups in the packaging, consumer product, cleantech and mobile tech industries.

In 2011, he shared his vision for a modular system of LED sticks made from reclaimed wood with the team at RUX, and in 2012 co-founded Stickbulb with Christopher Beardsley to further develop and manufacture the designs. Prior to founding RUX, Russell founded the architecture department within Studio Dror, where he led the design of Nurai Island, an artificial-island resort in Abu Dhabi voted "most luxurious project in the world" by Newsweek magazine.

Sacha Lakic
Designer & Director, Sacha Lakic DesignLuxembourg
Sacha Lakic was first exposed to fluidity, movement and organic shapes at his father's workshop. After working at Peugeot's Interior Design Department, Alain Carré design studio and Yamaha-owned MBK, Lakic branched out on his own in 1994 to open his own studio in the heart of Paris. Lakic is a designer who loves movement and speed and is capable of moving from one world of design to another with ease and effectiveness. In 2010, Lakic moved his design studio to Luxembourg where he also launched his motorcycle brand, Blacktrack Motors in 2016. Lakic has carried out many ambitious projects in automotive design, furniture (most notably with Roche Bobois), architecture and product design.

Teo Yang
Founder & Principal, Teo Yang StudioSeoul
Teo Yang graduated from Art Institute of Chicago in the year of 2004, after he attended Environmental Design form Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California. He started his career by working in many vibrant cities. Yang completed his internship with MTV Europe in Berlin, after which he moved to the Netherlands and had the opportunity to work for and learn from legendary designer Marcel Wanders. He eventually moved home to his beloved Seoul, participating in several design events, such as Gwangju Design Biennale, Seoul Design Olympiad, Seoul Design Week and more.
Over the course of his career, Yang has worked on interior design projects all over South Korea, some of which have been featured in Vogue Living and Elle Décor. Since the opening of Teoyang Studio in 2009, Yang and his team have worked on various interior, furniture and product design products. The studio participated in several high-profile projects, and specialises in high-end residential and branding commercial projects, with an emphasis on modern architecture and custom detailing.
