The Swiss label will unveil two watches from the RADO True Taipei Special Edition at the event, and guests will be able to enjoy first priority on the styles. Each of the unique timepieces were created to celebrate RADO’s partnership with World Design Capital Taipei 2016 and were imagined by two of Taiwan’s top designers.
The RADO True N25E121, was created in collaboration with Taiwanese graphic designer Aaron Nieh, and the matt grey high-tech ceramic timepiece was inspired by simplicity and versatility. With its clean, open dial, monochrome hands and indexes, and matching monochrome NATO strap, it is a design clearly informed by lightness and minimalism – the hallmarks of RADO’s latest collection.
Jointly created with renowned designer Leslie Chan, the RADO True Taipei Limited Edition is a pure white high-tech ceramic timepiece inspired by lightness, minimalism, and the dynamic city that is its namesake. Limited to just 101 pieces – a nod to Taipei 101 – Chan has developed a new dial for the RADO True that takes its inspiration from the art of origami, and the watch also features an engraved caseback with the designer’s signature.
Guests at the A&D Trophy Awards not only get first priority to purchase, but they will also receive a discount on the selected timepieces from 9-30 November, 2016. Furthermore, upon purchase guests will go in the draw to win a COVA Caffe coupon worth $400.
