Pop culture icons meet lollipop colours and retro chic in the Italian home appliance manufacturer's first showroom in Hong Kong
Guastalla-based home appliance manufacturer Smeg, in collaboration with its sole distributor in Hong Kong Kitchen Infinity, recently opened the doors of its first Hong Kong showroom in One Island South. The space showcases an array of Smeg collections, including 50s Retro Style, Piano, Newson and Cortina.
To celebrate the launch, the Italian brand held a 1950s-themed 'Smeg in Style' grand opening party to highlight the state-of-the-art Smeg 50s Style Fridge, which "arises from a fusion of technology and aesthetics in the shape and atmosphere of the 1950s," says Emer Zavaroni, Smeg's director. "The fridges are very colourful and they can easily fit into your home decoration.”
The event was graced by celebrities and prominent figures from various sectors, including Qiqi, Kathy Chiu, Cyrus Chow, Brian Chan and Alexander Wong.
And there's another piece of good news for Smeg fans in Hong Kong — along with the collaboration, the Smeg Gold Retro Fridge encrusted with Swarovski crystals will be available in the territory for the first time.
