Iconic Danish brand Bang & Olufsen has celebrated the firm’s 90th anniversary with a new collection and a new concept store in Hong Kong
The Love Affair Collection consists of eight of the brand’s most well-known designs, rejuvenated to incorporate elements of rose gold and can be viewed in Hong Kong in Bang & Olufsen’s new luxury showroom in the exclusive Elements shopping centre. Many people are unaware that rose gold actually symbolises love, and this is the reason that Bang & Olufsen have chosen to use it for this collection that marks such a integral part of their company history. The range includes headphones, music systems, speakers and entertainment units – all mixing the signature material with warm, elegant wood or customised fabric.
The launch of the range coincides perfectly with the opening of Bang & Olufsen’s latest Hong Kong retail setting. Located in the iconic Elements shopping mall, the luxurious new concept store offers keen audiophiles the opportunity to interact with products in a showroom type setting, meaning that volume controls can be pushed to the limit in a relaxed surrounding. The branch is carrying the exclusive rose-gold series, giving clients a chance to observe the careful detailing and overall elegance of the range close-up.
As with all of their products, The Love Affair Collection represents modernity coupled with this additional luxurious element – the result being classic pieces with the design aesthetic to last a lifetime. “We see this exclusive collection as a living illustration of the love affair that has lasted from our origin, where the passion and dedication to craftsmanship and quality of two Danish engineers Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen has caught the attention of people all over the world," states Marie Kristine Schmidt, VP Brand, Design and Marketing.
