Internationally renowned designer Kara Mann has designed a stylish collection for Baker‘s new distinct brand Milling Road

Acclaimed American furniture house Baker has unveiled Milling Road as its own distinct brand with a new collection in collaboration with distinguished designer Kara Mann.

"The inspiration for this collection came from our research into Baker's archive. We combined that heritage with my own background in design, art and fashion to create a furniture collection that is infused with both modern edge and relaxed glamour," said Kara Mann, founder and creative director of KARA MANN.

The 54 contemporary pieces in the collection are a reflection of the designer's signature style: edgy yet sophisticated. Highlighted contrasts are embodied in materials, colours and shapes with modern finishes making a super chic statement.

2

Compared to Baker, an esteemed and historic brand, Milling Road delivers a younger and more stylish sense catering to today’s contemporary life.  The Kara Mann Collection has brought to life a never‐before seen range of offerings from Baker, and will also mark the first in a series of guest designer partnerships lending their creativity and designs to the new Milling Road portfolio.

Brett Beadleson, Global Sales Vice President of Baker told Perspective that the brand wanted to collaborate with world-class designers like Kara Mann to establish a unique point of view. “We trust talented designers to run with their ideas, and the result is exceptionally satisfying and will bring individual style and tastes into modern homes,” he notes.
