Held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, China, Interior Lifestyle China 2015 saw over 20,000 buyers through its doors in September

The Messe Frankfurt Trade Fair is held annually in Shanghai and is the leading mid-range and high-end household product and accessories show in the region. The 2015 event saw a record 379 exhibitors from 14 countries taking part, including a number of first-time overseas exhibitors. One brand who attended the event to explore the Chinese market was renowned English porcelain tableware supplier Portmeirion Group. "Our products have been very popular with visitors to our booth, and retailers in particular love them," Mr Phil Atherton, Group Sales and Marketing Director explained at the conclusion of the fair. "We've had very positive feedback from buyers. Based on what's happened so far, we will be back next year."

Interior Lifestyle China expanded its fringe offerings this year, with one of the main features being the Theme Area by Elle Decoration which involved the support of Sennheiser as a special partner. The On Design Shanghai – Interior Lifestyle China "Beyond Architecture" exhibition was organised in conjunction with the Shanghai Promotion Center for City of Design, and drew much interest from visitors.

Recognising outstanding designs, the awards aim to drive forward the development of the international household products industry, and provide a platform to showcase the latest trends in contemporary interior design.
