Portuguese seating company Fenabel recently crossed the Atlantic to showcase their premier cork collection at this year’s HD Expo in Las Vegas

As businesses strive to carve out a niche market for themselves, more and more designers are looking to diversify the materials they work with. Recently, cork is gaining popularity as a material used in products such as footwear, mobile phone cases and a range of interior products.

At the HD Expo (Hospitality Design Exposition and Conference) earlier this year, Fenabel presented ten new models that all incorporate cork into their design. The company expressed that the benefits of working with such a material include its strength and resistance, lightness and the fact that cork is 100% natural.
