This year's Eco Expo Asia delivered a wealth of green and sustainable solutions

The 12th edition of Eco Expo Asia, the premier Asian trade fair with a focus on sustainability and environment protection, ended on a high note, with plenty of green innovations. Held from October 26 to 29 at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong, the event was organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. and the Environment Bureau, HKSAR.

This year, the fair welcomed nearly 340 exhibitors including SUEZ NWS; ALBA Integrated Waste Solutions (Hong Kong) Ltd.; SMIXIN SA, Switzerland; and Hyundai Hong Kong Co. Ltd. It attracted more than 14,000 buyers.

Antoine Grange, chief executive of recycling and recovery, SUEZ Asia, commented, "It was rewarding to speak to the audience at Eco Asia Conference, who are indeed experts from the same field. The conference is ideal for informational exchange as presentations are made by different stakeholders. They are particularly useful for students and government officials who may not be familiar with a specific green sector, and they can keep abreast of the latest developments through this conference."

Apart from showcasing green technologies, concepts and solutions from exhibitors from around the world, highlights of the expo also included the Eco Asia Conference, where government officials and industry experts shared insights on a range of green topics, while the Smart Sponge City – Self Sustainable Water Cycle conference gathered experts for discussion on future water management. The new Start-up zone helped green start-ups
from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland and Singapore to showcase green technology and explore more business opportunities.
