At a recent event in Hong Kong, Axor released a selection of new bathroom products created by a selection of international designers

Axor, the designer brand of international bathroom specialists Hansgrohe, has partnered with a range of architects and designers over the years, consistently striving to keep ahead of the market in terms of product design and functionality. The German-based company unveiled a range of new products in Hong Kong recently, expanding their offerings even further.

The organic and transparent design of Axor Starck V gives it an exciting yet subdued presence

Continuing the brand’s long running collaboration with international design icon Philippe Starck, the company introduced the Axor Starck V to Hong Kong. Hoping to allow the user to experience the “Vitality of Water”, the transparent mixer brings the vortex phenomenon to the washbasin.

"The vortex phenomenon has occupied my father Klaus Grohe for several years", explains Philippe Grohe, Head of Axor. "His intuition that water could visibly be brought to the foreground through the vortex, was the starting point in the development of Axor Starck V. In our long-time friend Philippe Starck, we not only found the perfect design partner to create a shape around the vortex, but also a valuable sparring partner in the developmental process.”

For more than 20 years the human interaction with water and space has been at the core of the innovation of Axor

At the same event, the brand also launched Axor Citterio E, a range that includes various mixers and shower products. In collaboration with Italian designer Antonio Citterio, Axor has created a bathroom collection which, thanks to its smooth design concept, can be seamlessly integrated into a wide variety of spaces. A range of accessories have also been crafted to complete the collection featuring rails, shelves and towel holders.
