At the Soneva Kiri resort in Thailand, Six Senses is out to prove that hedonism doesn’t have to cost the Earth, with a prototype zero-emissions Eco-villa

At Six Senses, all its properties, both existing and new , must qualify as 'carbon absorbent'. The group has in place strict guide lines for design, construction, operations and energy standards, as well as being involved in all machinery/equipment and material selection to ensure environmentally-friendly practices.

For example, all timber used at its Soneva and Evason resorts comes only from renewable sources. In fact, the Soneva statement 'intelligent luxury' refers to the balance where neither guest comfort nor the environment in which it operates is compromised.

At its newest property on Koh Kood in Thailand, Soneva Kiri offers pure indulgence, with 29 pool villas offering spectacular views of the Gulf of Thailand. This is also where the group unveiled its ground-breaking, zero emissions Ecovilla, overseen by their in-house permaculturist Louis Thompson.
