Project Dance - Light - Meditation

A large water canal, which acts as an important transition pathway connecting Causeway Road and Tai Hang, also represents and expresses the area’s history. This project proposes ideas to make use of neglected space of about 1,000 sq-m below the pathway, providing rest and performance areas for public use.

The proposed project in the disputed South Kuril Island aims to use wave energy and marine resources as the mediating factors between the indigenous people, Japan and Russia. The latter two would provide infrastructure, research and production techniques in exchange for the gathered resources and a normalised relationship.
