One of the highlights of the architecture and design industry’s calendar is the annual A&D Trophy Awards event that is presented by Perspective. This year, the student judging sessions for the awards were held at the Hong Kong offices of world renowned architecture, design and engineering firm Atkins Global.
The morning session saw the architecture section of the Student category being judged by four well-known architects in the Hong Kong community. Nelson Chen from Chinese University of Hong Kong and NCA; Inge Goudsmit from OMA; EeTiong Lim from Atkins and Ferdinand Cheung from Benoy all sat on the judges panel for the event, as eight students introduced their projects.
Later in the day, students from the interior design section presented their works to the panel. Judges in the interior design section were Michael Liu from Millimeter Interior Design and Alain Wong from Comodo Interior & Furniture Design. A broad range of different works were on show, with students from a selection of different institutions taking part.
The winners from each category will be announced at the A&D Trophy Awards 2016 event that will take place at Hotel sav on 9 November. A Best of the Best Student prize will also be awarded.
