BeCandle creates unique candles and promotes “Way of the Candle”

Inspired by Oriental living culture, BeCandle creates unique candles by blending experimental and conceptual design and production techniques. The label is based in Hong Kong and was founded in 2012 by Xavier Tsang, a candle artisan and designer. Tsang was also a 2014 winner of Perspective’s 40 Under 40 awards.

BeCandle currently promotes the Way of the Candle, a conceptual design philosophy inspired by tea ceremony and designed for interaction. A set of tools and a ritual-like process is all it takes to craft a beeswax circular candle. The candle moves along the circle for an hour when it is ignited, and has been shown in a number of places, including Germany, France, China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

The company also offers different types of products, like a box set, a glass container, a serenity candle box (which is a walnut wooden box and a concrete tray for lighting the bead candle), and candle crafts in dim sum shapes.
