The 2015 Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture (Hong Kong) (UABB(HK)) will be held at the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre in Kowloon Park, Tsim Sha Tsui in December.
Themed "Vision 2050 – Lifestyle and the City", this year's event is the fifth edition of UABB(HK) and will take place from 11 December to 29 February 2016. The special opening event forum is led by Sir Peter Cook, lecturer and architectural writer along with other architects and designers.
Activities will include films such as The Human Scale by Andreas M.Dalsgaard and Watermark by Edward Burtynsk, education programmes for kids and teenagers and an outdoor programme named Lifestyle in the Smart City. 60 exhibitors will take part in the biennale, showcasing inspirational works from local and international participants.
"Hong Kong is a dynamic city that has evolved rapidly over the past 35 years. This year's biennale encourages us to look ahead to 2050 and consider how we want, and need, our city to evolve over the next 35 years," says Professor Bernard Lim, board of directors of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects Biennale Foundation and Chair of the Steering Committee of UABB(HK) 2015.
UABB(HK) is organised by the Hong Kong Institute of Architects Biennale Foundation, the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, Hong Kong Institute of Planners and Hong Kong Designers Association.
