The main lobby feature marble floors, cherry timber and cream walls, evoking the feeling of a gentlemen's club

The latest design project from FBEYE, the Makati Diamond Residences in the Philippines invoke an air of elegant refinement

The new 28-storey, 400-room development has been styled as the ultimate ‘home away from home’, brimming with luxury and exquisite finishings. Located across from the fashionable Greenbelt shopping centre in the heart of Manila’s CBD, the project sees a host of interesting and thoughtful design decisions being incorporated. Singapore-based firm FBEYE designed all of the public areas for the residences including function and meeting rooms, lift lobbies and washrooms.

An elegant ambience of a gentlemen’s club was created throughout the main public spaces with cherry timber set against cream-panelled walls and portoro black marble highlights on the floors. Large chandeliers were used to fill the spaces and add warmth to entrances of the Makati Diamond Residences.

The All Day Dining restaurant features highly sculptural lighting made from wire forms and reflecting the transition of functionality from day to evening. A relatively neutral palette is maintained throughout the soft furnishings, with floor to ceiling windows opening the space up and allowing in large amounts of daylight. The warm concept is continued throughout the private cinema, scotch-cigar bar and function rooms, to allow each area to be utilised in a variety of ways.

Leather upholstery and plush velvet fabrics add to the exclusive feel of the club floor which is reserved for use solely by resident guests and members. Stainless steel, copper and brass finishes heighten the elegance and sophistication of the overall concept.
