Johannes Torpe Studios has created a collection of office brand installations for legendary sports corporation Nike

The designs for the pieces in the company's new office in Beijing stemmed from icons and core milestones in Nike's history. With the concept of 'Changing Perspectives', eleven brand installations were completed to disclose their strong brand history and are spread over two floors of Nike's office space.

The works of art portray stories and act as a bridge to engage the audience with the working environment, triggering inspiration and moments of reflection. It was essential to Johannes Torpe Studios that the installations continuously intrigue and surprise those who interact with the work space every day.

"It was our ambition to create brand installations that would allow the users of the space to discover new dimensions of the pieces on a daily basis. To achieve this we explored the idea of movement and worked with layers and depth of materials to create various illusions and visual transformations," expressed Rachel Mackay, head of branding at Johannes Torpe Studios.

The centre piece can be found in the reception as the Magical Lamella Wall – an optical illusion of movement inspired by the Nike swoosh where the colours convert from grey to orange to blue from different perspectives. The installation is devoted to Nike's co-founder Bill Bowerman therefore it finishes with a famous quotes by Bowerman seen on the front view, ""If you have a body you are an athlete". Lamellas are cut out of wood panels following the shape of the wave and painted in three different colours on each side to generate the illusionary effect.
