A selection of luxurious brands will show at the first edition of IDFFHK this month

August 2015 will see the inaugural edition of the International Design Furniture Fair Hong Kong (IDFFHK)

As Asia’s premier luxury design, furniture and lifestyle event, some of the world’s most prestigious brands will showcase their collections amidst a bespoke exhibition space at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The list of exhibitors who will be on show at IDFFHK reads as a veritable who’s-who of the industry and includes names such as Lalique (France), Poltrona Frau (Italy), Alno (Germany) and Zaha Hadid Collections (UK). Each firm will have creative autonomy over their exhibition space, allowing it to best reflect their design ethos and simultaneously creating a thoughtfully curated interior.

A real draw card of the event will be the Dialogue Speaker Series that will include a selection of keynote speakers and panelists from various industries including Lyndon Neri of Neri & Hu, Michael Ng of Foster + Partners and Pinky Lai, a former designer for Porsche and one of the judges for the A&D Trophy Awards, 2015.

The fair, in association with UBS, the Hong Kong Tourism Board, Italian Trade Commission, Hong Kong Institute of Architects and Hong Kong Interior Design Association, will pioneer the way that design will be seen in the future, particularly in Asia. Chairman of the Hong Kong Interior Design Asociation, Mr Antony Chan said, 'IDFFHK has come at the right time to enrich the platform for the design community and the general public.'

The Fair will run from 21 – 23 August and will be open to members of the public between August 22 – 23. More information can be found at idffhk.com
