In May, HKDI presents World Interiors Day – Interiors Intelligence – a series of master lectures and a design workshop with top interior designers in Hong Kong

To celebrate World Interiors Day -the annual event initiated by the International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI) to spotlight interior architecture and design worldwide – Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) will host a series of master lectures and a workshop in May. A group of Hong Kong’s leading interior designers and architects will take part in the event which will run from 19-28 May.

President-elect of IFI, internationally recognised architect, interior and product designer Steve Leung will share the chances and challenges he has experienced throughout his design career, while acclaimed lighting designer Tino Kwan will discuss the importance of light in spatial design. Internationally-renowned designer James Law of James Law Cybertecture International and Joey Ho, founder of P A L Design Consultants Ltd and vice-chairman of Hong Kong Interior Design Association (HKIDA), will talk through their design journeys and the challenges they have faced on their road to success.

A design workshop titled A Realisation of Space will be led and guided by HKDI oustanding Alumni, Tenniel Tsang. The event will allow participants hands on involvement and offer the opportunity for them to experience the process of creating their own space and unique three-dimensional objects by using corrugated board.
