One-stop lifestyle destination brand COLOURLIVING has introduced two premium Italian furniture brands, Maxalto and Azucena, to its B&B Italia collections, on show at its mono-brand store in Wan Chai.

Joining the line-up of Italian woodworking expertise from Maxalto is Apollo, a range of three sofas designed by architect Antonio Citterio. Their simple curves maximise comfort, matched with a clean form and sturdy wooden frame that complement the softness of the upholstery. The backrest height, generous seat depth and the absence of feet provide ample support, while fabric covers feature raised, prominent stitching and leather covers sport a sophisticated envelope stitching. Available in an array of colours in both fabric and leather, the range is a comfortable addition to any home looking for seating options that stand up to wear and tear.

B&B Italia Hong Kong_1Also designed by Citterio are updated pieces in the popular Caratos collection. Consisting of armchairs, ottomans and coffee tables, the new chairs have softer, more embracing forms with a padded backrest that curves to accommodate different sitting positions, yet the signature amber-painted aluminium frame is retained. The ottomans and coffee tables echo the design, and are ideal complements to the seats. They are easily configured to create a relaxed social setting in the home.

"Caratos is absolutely contemporary, but recalls some 20th-century objects, echoing the idea of bronze through a 'full' opaque finishing that absorbs light, and the great quality of the leather upholstery, giving it a 'saddlery' look," explains Citterio.

B&B Italia Hong Kong_3In addition, Italian furniture brand Azucena presents a selection of sofas, chairs, tables and lamps by legendary architect and brand founder Luigi Caccia Dominioni. This marks the brand's first foray in Hong Kong. "

COLOURLIVING has been the partner of B&B Italia Hong Kong for many years", says Paolo Bottegal, general manager of B&B Asia Pacific. "We are thrilled to finally launch our two exclusive brands here and we wish that our legacy can further inspire and engage the local design community."
