Introduced by colourliving, the new B&B Italia flagship in Wan Chai showcases the luxury furniture brand's timeless designs in an environment that reflects the striking settings architect Antonio Citterio has created for the brand in Italy. The layout presents multiple areas of different styles that range from the minimalist to the decorative, but always with an accent on contemporary living.
The new outpost not only provides top-notch B&B Italia collections, but also a holistic service, sharing with customers the latest views on home living trends in line with the brand’s philosophy.
Star products include the Backstage walk-in closet and wardrobe, designed by Antonio Citterio. The revolutionary full-height doors and dramatic lighting create a sense of privacy and opulent comfort, resembling a luxury dressing room behind the curtains of a theatre, offering solutions that ensure better accessibility to internal compartments. An exclusive selection of accessories and fittings showcases the expert craftsmanship, quality and purity of premium materials. Backstage walk-in closets and wardrobes are all tailor-made, ensuring that they are designed to suit differing needs and spaces, not only the bedroom.
Additionally, B&B Italia's ultra-modern beds are conceptually designed to depict simplicity, immediacy and comfort at first glance. Best seller Alys, designed by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti for B&B Italia, provide users with a comfortable, protective headboard. Using natural leather, the entire structure is thick and unique, designed to be low, portraying an effect of suspension and floating of the comfortable mattress.
B&B Italia sofas have been designed uniquely with a wide extension to enhance comfort while ensuring efficient and excellent ergonomic support for customers. Contemporary sofa collections at the new store include the recent classic Tufty-time 15' and Bend-Sofa by Patricia Urquiola, as well as the Richard sofa, by Antonio Citterio. Tufty-time 15' by Patricia Urquiola is inspired by Chesterfield types of sofas, while paying special attention to the new interpretations made in the 1960s and 70s. The conventional modular system starts with an ottoman as the basic piece, which is then accompanied by central, corner and terminal elements with a low or high armrest, offering 360 degree seating possibilities. Although it is inspired by the past, the sofa offers an excellent solution for themes such as modular elements, comfort and removable covers.
The showroom also features a unique outdoor collection by B&B Italia. The Gio, designed by Antonio Citterio for B&B Italia in 2016, is a contemporary classic dedicated to living in the open air. With a basic structure of wooden slats, all the padded elements of the sofa have a polyester cover with water-repellent treatment, for better protection from the weather. The fabrics are all certified for resistance to weathering, ultimately maintaining softness for users' enjoyment.
