These rings by Sydney based jewellery designer Helen Mok have been crafted from found items. The series was created with the intention to examine the value within an object. The piece’s use miniature machines found in a scrap bin. Inside the ring remains mechanical; the exteriors have been refitted but internally are untouched. Attached is a small key, which triggers the mechanical movements in the object.

According to Mok: "I decided to make jewellery because I was interested in transforming drawings and thoughts into reality. My works are directly based upon my personal childhood, and I seek to evoke the memories of my audience through interaction and play".
