The Perspective 40 Under 40 Awards 2019 marked the 13th consecutive year of recognising 40 young design talents from the fields of art, architecture, interior design and product design.
The annual 40 Under 40 Awards recognise the generation of talented individuals who will and are leading the future of design. Some of the previous winners are already shaping the world in which we live. Some examples include: André Fu (AFSO), Barrie Ho (BARRIE HO Architecture), Ma Yansong (MAD Architects), Aric Chen (M+), Joyce Wang (Joyce Wang Studio), Bryant Lu (Ronald Lu & Partners) and Bjarke Ingels (BIG), to name just a few. Take a look at our complete 40 Under 40 Awards alumni list.
Starting from 2017, nominees now enter or nominate in the categories of Architecture, Interior Design, Product Design and Art. Practitioners who are nominated for this programme will need to be 40 years old or younger, and based in the Asia-Pacific region, or work primarily in the region to qualify.
The 40 Under 40 Awards celebrate the achievements and talents of a young generation of individuals paving the way for design in Hong Kong, the Asia-Pacific region and further abroad. This year's event took place May 28 and was once again held at The Annex event space in Central. The event was attended by more than 200 industry professionals, including acclaimed architects, interior and product designers, artists, thought leaders and business influencers.
