Best known as a landscape architect/eco-warrior, Hitesh Mehta is also an award-winning architect, RIBA, associate AIA, MAAKA (registered in Kenya), photographer and Hall of Fame cricketer in Kenya. One of the world’s leading authorities on ecolodges and ecotourism, he is also the longest-serving board member of the International Ecotourism Society.

Over the course of two-and-a-half years, Mehta embarked on a journey in search of the world’s most authentic ecolodges across 46 countries and six continents. Through hands-on research and comprehensive interviews, Mehta compiled Authentic Ecolodges, featuring more than 300 full-colour photographs and a specially-developed rating system.
