A&D TROPHY AWARDS 2019 WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Winners of Perspective‘s A&D Trophy Awards 2019 have been revealed in a jam-packed ceremony in Hong Kong

Perspective was proud to host the gala presentation for the A&D Trophy Awards 2019 as well as the A&D China Awards 2019 at ArtisTree in Taikoo Place, Quarry Bay, on December 2, the 16th edition of the award since its inception in 2004. Best of Category awards and Excellence awards were awarded in Architecture, Interior Design and Product Design categories in both professional and student sections, and among the major winners of the evening were Ronald Lu & Partners, Shanghai-based Lacime Architects, Matrix Design and Tat Ming Wallpaper.

In addition, the Best of the Best Trophiesthe night’s top honours, were renamed as the Titanium awards to recognise the best works of the year. They were awarded to:

  • Neri&Hu Design and Research Office for Aranya Art Center (Architecture). The is the third year in a row for the firm to receive the Titanium Trophy for the Architecture category.
  • Shanghai Hip-Pop Design Team for Jiyu Spa (Interior Design)
  • Neri&Hu Design and Research Office for LAN Collection for GAN (Product Design)
  • Jennifer Yip of The University of Hong Kong for Hong Kong Tomorrow Vision (Students)

This year, a brand new award, the Best Architecture & Design Practice, has been introduced to honour the most awarded design firm of the year. The winner is judged based on the overall number of points an individual practice has accumulated for its projects entered in the 2019 A&D trophy awards. Neri&Hu Design and Research Office, already a seven-award winner of the night, was awarded this inaugural highest honour.
