Cross-media artist Alice Chan’s iconic ‘baby-doll’ style illustration has become something of a global phenomenon, with leading international brands such as The Peninsula, Fendi, Sportmas, Anna Sui, Shiseido, Coca-Cola and Docomo all having invited her to collaborate since the launch of her brand, Asteria.

Prior to Asteria, Chan’s Tokyo exhibition marked the launch of her work and her popularity has grown rapidly ever since. She also regularly participates in local and international exhibitions, both solo and with other artists.

She was the first Asian artist to be invited by Paris’ Galeries Lafayette to participate in a live painting show in 2008, and was invited by The Peninsula to open her gallery, ‘Asteria by Alice Chan’, in the same year.

Hjgher
Singapore

Singaporean design duo Justin Long and Jerry Goh founded Hjgher in 2006. Their established design philosophy can be clearly seen in their works, which express a simple rhythm.

As an internationally-recognised design collective, Hjgher has won a number of Clio, AIA and HKDA awards over the years. The company’s first self-published book — ‘Dear J’ — sold out on the first print run, received an AIGA and now resides in the Denver Art Museum.

Last year, the duo launched their own magazine, Underscore, in conjunction with the Singapore Design Festival. Both have also been invited to participate in festivals, seminars, workshops and exhibitions in Australia, London, Japan, Singapore and the US.
