Casper Chan
Hong Kong
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Chan spent five years in England after she obtained her first degree in fine arts at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Portraying human figures has always been her favourite form of creation — even as a child, Chan refused to draw anything else. She also likes to explore the potential of different materials and create unique textures for her paintings. Strongly inspired by the challenges of life, Chan regards art as a healing process and the canvas as a tranquil retreat for herself. Her one-of-a-kind artistic expressions have netted her a number of awards, including the Gaylord Chan Painting Award, Cheung’s Creative Award and the Lui Lup-Fun Creative Award. She is now working as a part-time art teacher and freelance illustrator. |

Returning to Hong Kong to obtain a Master’s degree in science in multimedia and entertainment technology at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Bailey curated the inaugural Asia Consciousness Festival last year, and also had the chance to present a new series of abstract artworks, Theory of Music. One of the biggest projects Bailey has recently undertaken saw him multi-task as writer, film director, set designer, storyboard artist, location scout, props manager and actor for the upcoming video game Mark Leung: Revenge of the Bitch.
